Live TV & DVR on Apple TV 4 - Still Issues

I am still having ongoing issues with the Apple TV Live TV & DVR.
On the guide, it never lines up with the right time, never refreshes. example this morning I turned the TV on went to Live TV & DVR and it was at 8:00PM last night. I went out of the menu and back in several times, closed Plex and re-opened, over and over and it never went to this mornings time. So because of this I go to the “Recommended Menu” “Whats on Now” BUT- since a few updates ago that only shows around 6 channels, it used to show all the channels, so that’s not working either! Bottom line is Live TV & DVR has a lot of issues on the Apple TV. I hope you can fix these soon.

FYI: Antennas are connected to a HDHomeRun CONNECT DUO. All firmware and scans are up to date.

As a workaround you should be able to stop the app completely by double-tapping the Home button and swiping it off the screen. When you re-open the Plex client and navigate to Live TV & DVR it should show the correct time slice in the guide. Also, on mine, it was showing today’s primetime lineup and I was able to manually swipe back to the correct time.

Ya, I know how to do that, thanks, but I shouldn’t have to do all that. It works fine on Plex Web in all browsers, and I am sure other devices.

I just wanted to say something about the issues so they know, there pretty good about fixing things.

Sorry for the confusion. Based on your description of the things you’d tried to get the guide to display correctly, it seemed as though you may be looking for a workaround. But yes, agreed, you shouldn’t have to jump through any hoops to have the guide display the current time.

Have you tried deleting the Plex app and reinstalling?

Something else to try: sometime when you’re not actively watching TV, leave the the ATV / TV on, and leave the Plex screen on the Guide screen. I’ve done this for the past hour and the guide is updating every few minutes.

So deleted and re-installed the Apple TV app and right off I can see that “Recommended Menu” “Whats on Now” is still not showing all–only 8 channels of 18 showing up. I will she how it goes with the guide?

no the re-install didn’t help. I still have to fight wit the guide when I turned it on this morning.

I only bring these up because you seem to be the only person posting about these issues; I can’t replicate either of them currently.
