I just added HDHomerun Quatro and can see live TV. After setting up the Plex server, it sees the guide and displays live TV fine to various clients. No laughing at the shows picked. It’s for my wife and I want to cable cut.
When recording pre-sceduled it shows that 2 (slightly) overlap shows are recording, there’s a spinning activity indicator around the red dots, and they alternately take turns as the progress gauge advances around each red dot.
Plex then bounces back-and-forth on the completed show. It shows it in “new TV shows” then it doesn’t. Back and forth. In the show’s folder under TV Shows, there are a long list of *.ts files for each episode but no single (finished?) file to view. In “Recently Added” the poster for the show appears, then disappears, repeatedly (as something is constructing the final product?). When things settle down (left overnight) the DVR Schedule shows a successful recording but the shows never show up as a final product for viewing in TV Shows (where the pointers are set) in any of the available display options (recently added, library, etc.).

Is the Silicon Dust subscription for guides needed to make this function work?

I set up an additional library folder called “LiveTV DRV” (including added it to the “Libraries” list in the media settings. The interface on scheduling Live TV+DVR recordings only allows the selection of “TV Shows” in the pull-down.
All issues persist after deleting the tuner and recreating everything from scratch.
