I’m a PlexPass subscriber. I haven’t dabbled w/ Live TV/ DVR at all yet, but am interested in learning more about the service.
I’m specifically interested in using Plex Live TV/ DVR (other required components, which ones??), to stream American news channels (MSNBC, CNN, CBS etc.). I’m in Victoria, Canada.

Plex works with a TV antenna for your local channels or with the cable service with unencrypted channels. It is not for remote streaming of any old channel that’s out there. Plex does not provide the content, it just lets you access to what you already can view locally.
So, if you can view American TV channels with an antenna on your TV now, then you can set up Plex to do the same and also to record news broadcast from his channels.
