Are there any plans to bring the live TV feature to the Roku?

Sure it does. Right below the supported apps:

“We’ll continue working to bring support to more apps as we move forward.”

So, we expect they will bring support to the apps under their control.

Until told otherwise.

What worries me about Live TV is that I’ll have to upgrade 1.7.x or greater when the Roku or Amazon Fire apps come out. I’ve since downgraded to 1.6.1 on my NAS to avoid the buffering and pixelation issues. It’ll be bitter-sweet.

Hopefully they will have that issue and the Closed Captioning/Subtitles fixed by that time.
