The Live TV guide seems to be getting worse and worse in the UK. Over the last few weeks it is constantly full of “To be announced” or Unknowns. Doesn’t matter how often I update the guide - there are still holes. This is in the major channels - BBC , Channel 5, etc.
Is this a known problem or just me?
Haven’t been looking a lot myself but always seemed ok when I did, and my DVR recordings worked ok
Not just you. 50% of my channels are TBA next week.
@sa2000 hey - long time, no chat! Is there an EPG problem at the moment?
Hopefully it will get fixed before too long. I record quite a lot and that’s difficult when it doesn’t know what’s on!
I find some are still blank even after the show has started.
I have seen more TBAs recently too in USA listings on major networks as well. If only we had MANUAL recording to work around this sort guide issue. That has to be one of the oldest unmet
feature requests in Plex now.

I’ve still got a TBA for Channel 4 at 9 pm tonight which I wanted to record!
Out of curiosity what hardware are you using for the UK channels? I wanted satellite based tech but only saw there was one manufacturer (from Israel) and the reviews were horrific regarding the software on the tuner.
I’m using an “HDHomeRun Connect Quatro” (HDHR5-4DT) so it’s OTA.
same here, but others (eg: Bake-off on C4 for next Tue) has appeared today.
I’m using the Hauppage WinTV-dualHD.
I set DVR to record all “To Be Announced” shows.
If I try and do that, it fails because it conflicts with dozens of other ‘TBA’ recordings - even though none are set to record.
I did a “Limit to Channel” filter on my TBA recording bc the TBAs I want to record are all on a single channel. But if you have many many TBAs then yeah, that’s a bad thing.
I have made our EPG ingestion team aware of this
Please do a manual Guide Refresh through DVR Settings and on completion, check the guide view
Let me know if there are still issues with TBAs for airings that are within the next 5-7 days
