I’ve been trying for sometime now to get Plex to investigate a problem that exists with EPG guide data not fully populating during the nightly updates.
So far, I’ve not heard anything from Plex on the issue, even though I believe I’ve followed all the steps that would be needed to get a response (Hardware: Shield TV Pro, PMS version: 1.14.1.5490, uploaded logs and images.)
I’m at a loss as to how to get support for ongoing problems with the EPG. Am I missing something in this process or is it broken?
Just an update. I sat in front of the PC while it did the refresh It took close to 40 minutes to get to 80%. AS I was watching the screen it then jumped to 100% and the message read refresh complete but when I went to the Guide I got the same blanks when I called up movies. I have had an issue with the PC freezing so that is why I sat in front of it while it refreshed and all seemed to be fine. I will investigate the PC issue.
A final update. It was not Plex, it was not my PC it was the tuner device I am using. The HD HomeRun Connect duo has an option in the settings which limits the level of info downloaded. When I asked for everything to be downloaded it took a bit longer but all the info I wanted was available. Thanks again for you patience.
Sorry. I gave up on Gracenote. I have three plex servers and I’m using Zap2XML on all of them. I get accurate updates all the time without needing to worry that the guide is out of date.
