Live TV Guide not fully updating

My TV Guide is no longer updating. It stops at 1% and occasionally gets up to 10%. I have tried rebuilding the server from scratch with the same results.

Plex Version 1.15.1.710
My OS is Windows 10 x64
i3-6100
16GB memory
500GB SSD 750 EVO
5x 3TB storage spaces with parity

There is currently an issue with the EPG provider

Update? This has not been working for at least 2 days… Without a guide my Plex Pass w/Live TV = useless. Suggestion to make Live TV work without a guide so it can be used to at least watch a channel? Seems like common sense.

Is there any further update to the issue of no TV Guide? Have you had any response from the EPG provider.

Mine still has no TV guide it is attempting to update but is on 0%. Am I meant to do anything.

I seem to be trapped in this loop. I don’t have a TV guide but I am told the issue has been resolved. If there are no special instructions and the system should be working how can I escalate it to try to get a resolution. I paid for the service primarily to watch and record TV and I cant do either (using Plex).

Try removing and then re-adding the DVR.

if we say it is solved but you still have a problem, then the only option is provide fresh logs covering the time of the refresh failure. If the problem has come back, it would need to be looked into. Until there is evidence to show that there is an error and what it is, there is nothing to investigate

Thanks for your support. I have attached a couple of logs because I do not seem to be able to resolve the issue. When I open Plex it immediately tries to update the TV guide but does not. I have deleted the DVR and reinstalled it . Even if I disconnect the DVR Plex still tries to update the guide. On one occasion when I deleted the DVR I received an error message that there was a problem trying to remove the DVR. I disconnected the DVR and ran the problem solving option thinking that it would be removed in the reset. Similarly I uninstalled and reinstalled plex with the same result. I hope the logs can help with a solution. It seems to my logic that Plex remembers the DVR and reloads it. I almost need a version of Plex before Plex Pass to try to get a fresh start.

Shut down Plex Media Server
Then delete files starting with this name
tv.plex.providers.epg.eyeq-57df6ae0-006f-4a64-979c-ad20494a7082.db
(there may be .db. .db-shm and .db-wal files)

Directory Path
C:\Users\flahe\AppData\Local\Plex Media Server\Plug-in Support\Databases\

After deleting the database files, restart the server and the EPG refresh will use a new database

Many thanks for your help and patience. I followed the instructions and all seems to be back to normal. I have set plex to record a TV show and that will be the final test. As an aside, previously when I asked Plex to show me movies to be broadcast (from the dropdown menu) it provided information including a graphic for the movie and portraits of the main actors. Both these are now just blank. It is not critical but more pleasant with the graphics. If it is a setting could you let me know. Once again thank you for your help and I am glad the support matched a very good product.

Did the Guide Refresh complete to 100% ? You could do another manual guide refresh and then collect the logs on completion

You were right. The Guide seems to stop updating in the 60 percent range. I ran the guide refresh and also downloaded an update to the software and ran a second refresh. I have attached the log from today.

Sorry - i have looked again to see the sequence of requests and the reason it failed at 17:48:46 was because you cancelled the refresh

Your cancellation managed to stop it when it got to 93% and that was the reason for the error that i mentioned earlier

So suggest let it complete. It is like windows updates. Sometimes you think it is stuck but later it actually progresses
