I have a HD HomeRun that is connected to my antenna. I have the newest version of plex media server for Windows 10 and I have added the HD HomeRun. The HD HomeRun was added and I was able to scan channels. I have a program guide that is updating on the media server. My problem is that I am not seeing a live tv option anywhere. When i open my app on my shield or on my ipad i do not see a program guide or any option to watch live tv. Help please!
Are you using Plex Media Server 1.7.2 ?
Live TV requires Plex Media Server v1.7.2 or newer and you must set up the DVR in your server.

- Server version 1.7.2 is not a standard OTA type update - I was assuming it was. (you can’t just push “check for updates”). Plex Pass members only, and you have to go to the site and download the new version and install it.
This should maybe be spelled out a little more boldly on the marketing pages?

I have version 1.7.2.3878. I can set up for DVR recordings but doesn’t show live TV
Your iPad should work now. Restart the app. Then go to browse at the bottom left and you should see “program guide” as an option.
Just checked and it worked thank you!
I just installed 1.7.2.3878 and I turned transcode on, it only has record option, no live tv option.

Review the Live TV FAQ for what apps are currently supported.
Ah I thought Android TV was just the android app, I was mistaken!
