With the latest update, Plex introduced the live tv functionallity for andriod, but first tests resulted that it is very laggy. I prepared a SD stream from one channel over plex and the channel plugin hdhomerun viewer (http://forums.plex.tv/discussion/101755/rel-hdhomerun-viewer).
With Plex: the stream lags! the video looks like very fast picture by picture mode and no fluent stream. audio is ok
With channel plugin: Everything works fine, fluent video, fluent audio
Indicating that it sounds not like a network issue. Is this known? Can I provide anything to get it sorted out?
I have the same problem here. It sounds like a problem with the Plex Player itself because when I use an external player (VLC) to stream the live TV from Plex, no lag at all. Test yourself with an external player like VLC to see if it does the same (Settings > Advanced > Player > Use an external player).

Yup… its the player. I do the same if I use their native Live TV integration which I do not do often.
I use a plex channel instead, more reliable and somewhat natural guide.
