Live Tv needs remote function

There’s a number of feature suggestions discussing such options, e.g.

Live TV channel change and better IR remote support on desktop player

It would be nice to have an option to cycle through channels without first having to return to the guide. Also I would like to be able to use an IR remote as more than just a glorified wireless mouse when using the desktop app. I have a HTPC that I’d like to just run a Plex server/player on since Windows 7’s Media Center is now defunct instead of having to go through a bunch of tweaking to get something like Kodi to do when Plex could effectively do it all.

I would like to surf channels, going up or down…and being a sports fan, I would like to flip back and forth between games/channels.
