I am moving away from cable and started using Plex as a live TV solution. I am streaming to a Roku TCL TV and i am impressed with how well Plex handles live TV. To truly make Plex better than cable i would like to see some cable-like features such as:
- a previous channel/recall feature to take the user back to the last channel they were watching
- ability to use the number pad on a remote to enter the channel number directly instead of
scrolling/searching for it - ability for the user to pull up a transparent guide or shrink the current channel to half screen so the
user can search the guide while still watching the current program
These features have been standard for cable TV for years and if Plex implements them it will be hands down the best TV experience
