Apologies for sounding dumb but I received an email from Plex advertising Live TV/DVR functionality on Amazon Fire TV devices. The email seemed to indicate that it was native, i.e. no additional hardware required. Is this correct or is it a case of still having to have some sort of DTV tuner installed in the pc that’s hosting Plex Media Server and then just streaming content to the Plex app on the Fire TV devices?
You need a tuner either on your network like a HDHR device or tuner installed on your pms machine.
