Live TV on LG Web OS no channels appear

Player Version#: 2.2.0 (Latest on WebOS store)
Tuner Make/Model: xTeVe (To use IPTV)
Guide/Lineup name: My Guide (or whatever is defaulted)
Using XMLTV?: Yes.
Channel number/Name: All

I have plex set up to access my IPTV service using xTeVe (Really happy with it so far and would recommend) but when using LG WebOS to launch plex I do not see a list of channels, just a blank grey background screen.

I believe this is because I am using an XMLTV since I have seen the menu when I first set up when I went through and manually mapped the channels (Using the plex options after entering my Postal Code).
This set up works flawlessly on PC using the web and on my phone it works well, however, every few minutes it will kick me out to the menu and I have to reselect my channel.

Does anyone know of any work arounds or fixes for this? Is this a known plex issue? Has anyone else seen this?

I have observed the same. It worked before and after Plex reintroduced EPG support (for free) in Australia from a new provider. Like you, I have no issue with web player or Plex app on my phone or tablet. That would suggest the problem is LG WebOS app specific following an update.

I did manage to fix my issue.
I am posting here as hopefully it may fix your issue too. Or anyone who stumbles across this before it becomes closed.

To fix this issue I factory reset my LG TV and installed no apps aside from Plex. Presumably I can still install other apps but I have not needed too. And I can now watch live TV with with my custom XMLTV.

I have the same issue on both my LG TVs (Live TV no longer viewable in Plex LG WebOS 5).

Is there a method to get it working again that does NOT require factory reset of my LG TV?

OK, I gave up and factory reset one of my LG TVs… and I can confirm that yes it resolved the issue and I can now once again view Live TV via Plex Live TV and DVR tab… a pity that it required factory reset of the TV… lots of reconfigs & reinstalls.

I meant to respond to your first post saying I didn’t try much else, I was going to recommend trying to reinstall plex on your TV since I skipped that, I was just frustrated and went with factory reset in hopes, since it did work briefly previously.
I haven’t gone through all my settings to change them back yet out of laziness, but I’m glad it fixed your issue as well, it would have sucked if you had to go through all the settings again AND it still not work.

Just now I’ve tried on my other LG TV to only delete the Plex App and reinstall Plex App. This worked perfectly and avoided having to factory reset.

That’s exactly what I did! I deleted the Plex app itself, installed it again and it worked!!
