For some reason when I view Live TV on my phone using Plex, it says 1920x1080 and stutters badly on mobile. This is with a 40MB download speed (just ran speedtest). It doesn’t seem to transcode to a lower/higher bitrate to compensate for the current connection speed like it does when playing back other recorded TV’s and Movies. There doesn’t seem to be an option to manually change it either.
I am also seeing what seems to be a stutter, jitter or maybe some slight frame drops or something (hard to describe), when watching live tv on my Android on my local wifi network in the house. In my case it is certainly watchable and a very cool feature, but just a little jarring and noticeable that it isn’t smooth.
My overlay reports the same as @troyhough is seeing.
I’m running server 1.8.0.4109
The android app is 6.4.0.1403 and is a pixel running android 7.1.2
My win10 plex server is only running about 30% CPU (only about 15% for plex transcoder proc)
iperf3 between my phone and plex server is around 80 Mbits/sec
Maybe this is a known issue and we just missed it? Or is there something further we can do to diagnose it?
