Live TV shows not recording

Didn’t there used to be a DVR and Live TV forum here somewhere? I apologize, but I tried to find it and couldn’t.

Regardless, I am having an issue where sometimes my shows do not appear to record. They don’t appear in my lineup of shows to be recorded, and my Plex server just generally doesn’t see them. It would be SUPER helpful if I could search by channel, but Plex doesn’t do that so I can never figure out why it just won’t show up.

I have an example specifically for tonight. The Good Place came on tonight, and I have had that on series recording since Season 1. It recorded episode 1&2 but it didn’t record episode 3 tonight. Episode 4 is in my lineup to record next week, but no The Good Place today. I had to find it somewhere else. :frowning:

Moved to DVR and Live TV.

Would need to see logs covering time period episode should have been recorded.

i am having the same exact issue here. scheduled recordings dont actually show up as scheduled, and thus, dont record. very frustrating.

In my case, it is the EPG data that is not downloading correctly. The show just doesn’t appear in my list, which is why the regular grid format would be so helpful. I could track down the channel and time of my expected recording and either select to record that one individually, or maybe figure out why it’s not a part of the series.

Hopefully we get some tech support in here soon, for both of our issues

Would need to see logs. When submitting ensure debug logging is turned on, verbose logging is turned off and the option to include tokens in logs is also turned off. Upload zip file of logs covering timeframe issue is occurring including of details such as show in question and start/end time of show.

How far back do the logs go? I can upload logs now, but do they go back as far as my original post? This is the only time I’ve seen this happen, but I’d be happy to do the logs if they go back a week.

Generally my logs only go back about 18 hours. Will vary depending on how much your server is doing typically.
