Live TV very unreliable

Server Version#: 1.13.5.5291 Nvidia Shield
Player Version#: iOS App - v 5.3 - similar problems on FireTV and Web client v3.67.1

Hello, completely new installation. nVidia Shield running current GA version of PMS. HDHomeRun Duo connected by 1Gbps Ethernet. Shield is 16GB with 64GB high speed adopted storage USB flash 150Mbps write / 190Mbps read. I’ve set the transcoding directory to: /storage/emulated/0/Plex Media Server/Transcoder

Recordings go via network mount - seems to be working after I upgraded to the current PMS version - previously was only mounting share as read only.

Live TV is unreliable - sometimes plays for a while, sometimes plays for a few seconds and then stops and then fails to replay. Seems to be something to do with the transcoder?

I have a similar setup to you, I have found transcoding live TV not great so I have set my TV channels to ‘Direct Play’ - ‘Play original quality’. On some channels I still get a slight pause after a few seconds but then it settles and play well.
You set the above by clicking ‘down’ while watching a live TV channel, top left will show details of transcoding. Then settings cog to select ‘Play original quality’. This avoids transcoding live tv as far as I am aware.
