In the last 3 days, my access to Live TV (vIa Remote Access) from my Windows 10 based Plex Media Server has constant buffering (every 2-3 seconds) on all my players (Nvidia Shield TV, iOS, Windows desktop). I’ve been away from home for 2 weeks and it had been working great to get my local OTA channels (via my hdHomeRun based setup). No server or player software levels have changed or server or player settings. Is there some problem with the remote access tunnel for streaming live TV streams ? Very frustrating as absolutely nothing has changed in my environment. I have rebooted all devices in my environment, but that did not resolve anything.
Well, for some reason the bandwidth (upload/download) speeds on the 5G Verizon internet service have been quite a bit lower so not enough speed to keep up with the transcoding demand. So nothing to do with the Plex software. Looking into why my speeds have gone down…
