I don’t see an option to watch live, only record. Is it not an option? It’s kind of screwy to have to pull out my ipad to watch live tv!
There are 5 different Plex clients available on Windows. Please specify which one you mean.
Well I’d like to be using the latest and greatest! I have Windows 10 Pro and was using the “Windows Media Player”, but if there’s one better let me know.
‘Windows Media Player’ is no Plex client at all. It is only a DLNA client. (and not a good one at that)

Are you talking about the regular Plex web app
or the Plex Media Player
or the ‘Plex for Windows’ app from the Microsoft App Store

Neither of those can be described as being the ‘latest and greatest’. They exists beside each other and have different features.
Live TV playback is available in the Web App already.
Plex Media Player will follow soon™.

I’m referring to Plex Media Player for Windows , downloaded from Plex website, version Version 3.29.7
