I’m using an Avermedia TD310. My TV service provider uses DVB-C broadcasting. Plex recognizes the Avermedia as an unsupported tuner, I select my country, the scan runs for a couple of seconds and finds nothing.
On the same machine, NextPVR scans and finds the channels with no issues, so my solution for now is to run the NextPVR plugin in Plex Server (no longer maintained, it has a few bugs of its own and is really clunky, but at least it works for now).
As far as I can tell, Plex uses a list of providers for some of the countries (and probably has a list of their channels / used frequenices?), but there are none listed in mine when I try to set it up. Is there a way to send my provider’s list to Plex and add it to the client for that country? Or send the frequency range? Or, if nothing else, at least allow the user to input/choose a range to scan? Right now, those couple of seconds the “scan” runs for are surely not enough to properly scan.
