I am a big fan of your work! I use Plex in my Samsung Smart TV and in my iPhone, in both clients works GREAT!
Yesterday I have buy an Apple TV 3 to connect in my non-smart tv in my bedroom and use Plex. But I am very disappointing...
I was able to make Plex working in my Apple TV, but for some reason loading movies is a nightmare, constantly stopping to buffer 2 in 2 seconds, is very annoying.
I thought that was an wifi problem, because I don't know the atv3 wifi adapter very well, so I connected to Ethernet directly. But the exactly same problem continues...
Is not because of my CPU because in my Samsung Smart TV works great!
Is there any fix for my case?
Any setting that I should change?
Please help, thanks! :)

I gave just seen how old your PMS Hardware is! You cannot remux or transcode on the fly with that setup, which is causing the buffering. You either need a better PMS or use a tool to remux your files to a format playable by the ATV.
I dont know if you have read above in my 1st post, but I have PMS working 100% fine in my Samsung Smart TV and in my iPhone, both are connecting to the same computer server that is used for ATV.
Why ATV is only the one with buffer problems? If Samsung and iPhone works fine...
They have richer codec support so your PMS it doing little more than serve the files across the network.
The ATV needs the files either to be natively playable or remuxed/transcoded - guessing you are trying to play something like AVI or MKV files.
As we do not install anything on the ATV we use the native player; the hardware has a much wider range of codec support but Apple have only enabled some of the available range.
iPhone probably has an own subtitle renderer - in which case PMS might only "direct stream" whereas with PlexConnect/aTV it currently has to transcode...
My guess is that the iPhone is getting the file transcoded as well but at a much lower butyrate that your CPU can handle but if you provide some details we should be able to see if that is the case (also let us know what the transcoded settings are in the iPhone and PlexConnect client).
