I either get the Actor initials or a blank space. It’s not my server because it is working perfectly well with the web clients and the Roku client. This seems to be affecting only Android. Problem is appearing on Google Chromecast-Google TV, Google Chromebook and Google Pixel.

Correct, when you select a video from the plex home menu, another screen appears with details of that video, which includes the poster for that video, and nfo information such as Title, Director, Video codec, subtitles, etc. Then at the bottom it shows the cast in the video, showing their photos. I’m using the XBMCnfoMoviesImporter.bundle. This puts the actor photos on the local webserver and then plex grabs the photos from there. As I mentioned above, the android client is displaying a blank circle with the first and last initials, whereas if you use the Plex Web Client or the Roku client everything is working perfectly fine. If you need additional information, please LMK. Thanks!
Apples and oranges. This is about LOCAL actor/cast photos. For example if you have a home movie with your children, spouse, etc. or other content which isn’t in “The Movie DB” you add the entries yourself. As I mentioned, this works perfectly fine with the Plex Web Client and the Roku Client. It’s not a server issue, because it is working fine with those clients. This defect/bug is specific to the Android client.
I mentioned the method in a previous comment. You can also do a Google search and watch videos or read instructions on how to do it. It isn’t hard. It’s been working for years with the web client and Roku clients… This defect is specific only to the Android client AFAIK and should be relatively simple to correct. Actually, it’s kind of puzzling why the android client is having this issue. All the importer does is to take the specified data and load it into the plex database. It’s obviously working correctly because two different plex clients (web and roku) are recognizing and loading the data perfectly. The android client is obviously doing something wrong.
Problem still occurs with Plex for Android 9.9.0. I really don’t understand why this is such a problem with only the android client. It works fine on the Plex Roku Client, and also works with Plex Web. Why is no one on the Android team commenting on this?
