After upgrading my Synology to the latest server version I am having issues with Local Extras doubling up after I add new movies. All of my older movies that have been added prior to 1.20.4.3517-ab5e1197c do no have this issue.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Server Version#: 1.20.4.3517-ab5e1197c
Player Version#: 4.29.2
I have attached a screenshot of the extras file naming nomenclature which was been guided by the " Local Files for Trailers and Extras" Plex Support Page.
Sorry about the lack of clarity on the Plex client. I was checking the Extras on the OS X desktop client, but am also seeing this same issue on the iPhone/iPad app and our Roku 4K.
@trumpy81 sorry for the confusion in the last reply. When I originally created the Plex Media folder years ago I disabled the recycle bin, but did go ahead and check that just a minute ago to confirm that it is still disabled. Picture attached below.
@trumpy81 great call… You have NO idea how many times I have looked at that folder and didn’t think it mattered that I added a “Media” folder inside the Plex Shared Folder file tree, just because I didn’t disturb the other 2 files that occupied that folder…
Whelp, I’m working on stopping Plex and creating a new shared folder/moving everything over, THEN I’ll go back to checking the doubling up of Extras. Hopefully that little bug will work itself out.
@trumpy81 So after successfully moving my Media folder out of the Plex Shared folder I went through and updated a couple broken links as well as renamed a few titles. After that I decided to go ahead and add a new title to check and see if the adding local extras resulting in them appearing twice, and unfortunately they are. Any thoughts??
After multiple late nights and lots of troubleshooting I realized that if I compiled the movie folder with all assets outside the Plex Media folder and then transfer/moved that same folder all at once, then all extras appeared as they should.
Figured I would share with everyone in case others had the same issue.
