Local LAN lose connection to PLEX when using VPN

Hi there,

my PLEX server (using latest version) is installed on my win 10 64bit PC.
I also have a smart android tv, both of them (tv & plex) are on the same LAN.

When i turn on a VPN connection on my PC, I lose all connection from my LAN devices to PLEX.
I need to sign out from each app and log back in again using the code the appears on the screen.

That’s only logical, as you are removing your computer from the LAN by activating the VPN.

thanks for the fast reply.

i have my local area connection for the lan , and for the vpn i have a different adapter in a different segment then the LAN is.

how is it still affecting the lan ?

i will try to use the link you gave me, hopefully it will work
