Recently i migrated my plex server from my windows 7 with an AMD 7700 apu and amd 2800 gpu. i used this a my plex sever, but also my htpc with mpc-hc . i decided to migrate to AMD 3950x and AMD 5700xt windows 10 so i could play 4k media with mpc-hc more seamlessly. for the most part all seems great, but i have an odd issue i am not able to determine root cause, as i didn’t experiences prior to migrating.
At times now when i am watching a movie via mpc-hc, either 2k or 4k, if a remote plex users starts to watch a show or movie, I get local video stutter for a few seconds anytime plex starts the playback, direct play or transcode, for examples if i am watching LOTR (or any media) via mpc-hc, and someone remote starts Greys anatomy (or any show) i will get stutter every time an episode starts for a few seconds during the entire playback of LOTR.
Now what makes this harder for me to narrow down root cause, if i stop and restart the plex server app or reboot the pc, and do the same thing above, and watch LOTR (or any media) and have a users start any shows, direct play or transcode , I don’t get any stutter at all.
Any ideas of what i can try to narrow down an correct this issues?
