I have a weird stuttering glitch that occurs with one of my servers.
I have a primary and fallback unraid server (fallback more for backup of the media). The primary is running on Windows 10 (fall 2020 build) with a Ryzen 7 CPU and Vega 64 GPU. The fallback is running in a docker on unRaid (linuxserver) with a Ryzen 5 CPU and no hw GPU for the docker.
The glitch occurs sporadically in some media and appears as if the video file is sudddenly starved for data.
Here’s the weird part: it only occurs on the Windows 10 server, not the unRaid docker server.
I’ve tried turning off hw transcoding, but all media is typically direct streamed. I’ve switched network ports, I’ve toggled the enhanced player. I have tried this in browsers on both Macs and on Windows.
In all cases, the particular video file stutters when streamed from the Windows Plex build, but plays just fine from the unraid docker build or if the video file is played directly in VLC.
Thoughts? If you need log files, do you want from both? I’ve turned off verbose logging.
