Local Media Assets is missing in all Shows agents. It was present until sometime today then disappeared and now new media cannot be scanned from the local files for tv shows (I use for personal media libraries). It shows up fine for movies just not TV Shows. It is not an order of appearance issue, simply missing. This happened once before and I had to remove all aspects of the PMS including all hidden directory files and metadata.
I have looked everywhere for a solution but the only thing I found was removing bundles from the plugins directory which PMS no longer uses. Any ideas would be helpful.
The local metadata is missing as it will not be found externally. Each MP4 contains full metadata including artwork. However, with TV shows I have used in the past square artwork due to iTunes requirement. Now with Plex I used 2x3 for TV Shows.
As show here, Plex has scanned for the metadata locally as of 2 days ago but will no longer. Media added previously picked up covers from the directory (show.jpg, season01.jpg) as well as things like description, actors, directors etc for each episode. Now nothing. My PMS on Windows works fine with the same content but Local Media Assets shows up under all Shows agents. Don’t think I need new functionality, just to get Local Media Assets back. Here is an example of what it should look like (Windows PMS, not on Mac PMS).
I am befuddled as to why Local Media Assets disappeared and have no idea how to get it working again.
