Server Version#: Ubuntu Server 16.04.3
When connecting to the Version 1.18.2.2058 of Plex running on my HP server using
192.168.3.2:32400/web/index.html#!/settings/web/general
I see version 4.8.4 of the Web client
If I connect with
https://app.plex.tv/desktop?_ga=[SNIP]#!/settings/web/general
I see version 4.16.2
I have a lifetime Plex Pass
Am I doing something wrong? And If so how do I correct it?
That is completely normal. The local web app is always a bit “behind” in version number. There is nothing you can and should do to “fix” it.
That is a shame, as I saved some settings for the new Movies & TV option with the hosted version the local app says I can no longer save settings
That is because the settings saved with the newer version (i.e. the hosted app) are overwriting those from the old version.
But what kind of settings are these? Playback progress etc on the AVOD library is saved in your user account on plex.tv and not in your browser.
