i am over on the guide step by step on windows (8),

and when i am trying to open the trailer screen in the aptv i am getting error.
i think i am not finish the process and i miss somthing.

Go to your Media Manager on the server under settings, show advance settings, network, put in the ip of your apple tv in list of networks that are allowed without auth. 

That worked for me with the same issue.

I'm having the same issue, my Apple TV has a manual ip address of 192.168.1.8 and I've set this in the PMS advance settings:

127.0.0.1/255.255.255.255,192.168.1.8/255.255.255.255,192.168.1.15/255.255.255.255

The computer with IP address 192.168.1.15 is able to connect without being logged into myPlex but the Apple TV still causes this error:

Which IP is PlexConnect running on? *.15, too, or something else? You might have to add this one as well.

It's running on the same server, so I thought it was covered by 127.0.0.1, I can try 192.168.1.4 which is it's ip address.

The server running plexconnect and the plex media server is also the DNS server for my network so I added trailers.apple.com and atv.plexconnect myself.

Here is my cfg just in case:
