Once I have the movie wall-metadata-icons-posters, etc., the way I want them, how do I lock them?
Yes, everything added, setup way I want, images, etc. Want to lock it down…
“then there is no need to lock them at all.”
I’ve had some images, posters, etc., change. Which is why I want to lock those down.
“For text based metadata”
The problem isn’t the text I’ve added like titles, etc. The problem is the posters. It goes from having the right image to having what looks to be a screen shot from the movie. Its the image that changes, not the text. Plex does not d/l any image to save as a file. I’d have to d/l the image and then point to it as a local stored image for each movie. Not going to do that for 450 movies.
And not the information Plex uses is not out of reach. Its stored in the User folder in APPDATA. IF it d/l images there, I’d be able to point to them and be done with it.
“Actually all you need to do is name the image”
I know how to name files, images, etc. I’ve been doing this for some time. The issue is not naming my files. I want to tell Plex when to leave metadata alone. Is there a way to lock the images or not?
