Locked out of account - username change

Morning All,

I’ve been working on setting up my plex server this week and used the tool to authenticate via gmail.

Today I tried to claim a username (stevietv) on the account but it said it was already taken. As its my username that I use everywhere I expected that perhaps in the past I made an account with that username and so I tried to log in with that username and low-and-behold yep, i had an old account also.

So - I edited the username on that account to something else (stevie-tv) and then deleted the account via the plex.tv site.

In the meantime I was still logged in via gmail account on my local server and was already on the account page so I added the old username to my account (stevietv) and pressed save. I was thrown out to the login screen, I guess because in the meantime I logged in to the website via username instead and so cookies conflicted or something.

However, now when I try to log in via the google authentication it tells me that username already exists and I can’t log in anymore.

Can someone help me to remove the username from my google authenticated account so that I can log in? the email is [mod removed]

thanks!

That’s the problem. You were signed into both accounts on different web tabs, which causes confusion with the system. You actually deleted the wrong account. I’ve restored your gmail account. Your other account was never deleted.

Try again but make sure you only using 1 account at a time.

HI I have accidentally deleted my account. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx is there a way I can get mine restored as well?

thanks

Hunter

You should have gotten an email with a link in it, to reverse the deletion.

Sorry it must have been filtered, or I cant find it.

Please PM me the email address of the account you want restored.
