Logitech K400 Keyboard and RasPlex?

Wondering about buying one (amazon has them for $20 today) and would love to know if anyone has been using them, if they have any issues etc etc?

I am looking for a few things out of it:

  1. Typing in my PIN (since the whole seeing what I type on the screen is bad haha)
  2. Jump to letter when sorting through my movies (as far as I know my harmony remote can not do this)
  3. Searching

A number of Rasplex users have confirmed that it works fine, here’s one of them https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/comment/884444#Comment_884444

It works fine for me, too.

I bought a Logitech Wireless Touch Keyboard K400 Plus. It doesn’t work for me. There is no mouse and the buttons don’t work. :frowning:

Update, so now the keyboard works, but the mouse functionality still hasn’t worked. I was able to set up the system, but kinda wish the mouse worked…

@dtschirmer:
I’ve just now tested the K400 with my own RPi2, and can confirm that both keyboard and mousepad work fine.
I suspect that you may have missed the preference setting needed to enable the mouse usage of RasPlex.

The original “Plex Home Theater” which RasPlex is based on never had a proper mouse implementation, and this also remained the case for earlier versions of RasPlex and OpenPHT. So it’s only fairly recent versions of RasPlex and OpenPHT that have a proper mouse implementation. And for backwards compatibility of default usage this mouse implementation is by default disabled.

To enable it you need to navigate the GUI into the submenu “Preferences > System > Input devices” and ‘tick’ the option “Enable mouse and Touch Screen support”.

With this option set the K400 mousepad works fine for me, as do several different mice I have tested.
