Long Fast Forwarding Causes Video to Crash and Have to Restart - TCL Google TV

When I have to fast forward for a long period of say 30+ minutes, the video will crash and force a restart from the beginning. I’m having to only fast forward for shorter periods, let it play, then start fast forwarding again.
