I’ve been trying out the new iOS app , and I got to say; I don’t hate it, apart from some missing features. It looks really slick!
But one thing that has been really bothering me is that it takes a long time to load stuff when I’m not connected to my local network. The old app (8.45) takes 4 seconds to start a 1080p video from my Plex library over the internet, while the new app (2025.12.0) takes over 15 seconds. Loading the homescreen takes a lot longer as well.
So it takes 3-4 times longer to load content over the internet, while over Wi-Fi it’s near instant. I’ve tested it on multiple phones. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?
