I’ve been a pretty long time (happy) Plex user and have come upon an issue I simply haven’t been able to troubleshoot through. Sometime in the last 1-2 weeks Plex stopped having the ability to play any content from Chrome or stream to my Chromecast (either via host computer web browser or activated via mobile device).
I’ve been having some trouble interpreting logs (which I can’t upload since this is first post?). Steps I’ve tried thus far:
- completely clean (incl. reg key deletion) server install multiple times, including going to prior versions
- repair database
- restore database
- optimize/analyze library
The funny thing is, after this I decided to try and open the Plex localsite with Edge and am able to play just fine in browser, but my chromecast is not recognized from Plex within Edge.
Help appreciated, quite a bit of searching hasn’t yielded anything that’s helped. If need be I can link out logs.
