I have been using Plex Media Player for Windows version 1.14.1.5488

I have Plex Media Player for Android, Apple TV, Xbox 1, Windows 10 and Chromebook.

I have the Plex Pass for 1 Year

When i use Plex Media Player i occasionally get the No Soup For you, Undefined Server Errors… Annoying but easily remedied by signing out and signing back in.

Today i got a new error that i have never seen before… when using the server in chrome and casting to the chromecast it produces the unexpected error please visit our forums… but it continues to cast the music i have asked it to…

Today it is also failing to check for updates…

I checked the forums… and there is a plethora of topics… time consuming to read through them all but thought i would pop my head up and say hello and have a little rant about Plex Errors that make no sense.

I’m experiencing something similar on the browser version, I cannot navigate the Plex web app (for example clicking on a series takes me to the dashboard and there is a load of javascript errors). Also sometimes when I load it the page doesn’t display any server in the list.

Make sure to use the hosted web app, when using Chromecast.
app.plex.tv
Disable any web browser extensions/add-ins which can potentially interfere.

Automatic updates to server version 1.15.x are not activated yet.
They will be in a few days (depending on how much issues are getting reported from users who updated manually).

Thanks OttoKerner I have just downloaded 1.15.2.793 from the Media Server Downloads section. I will try using the app.plex.tv and see if it produces the same errors. The only extension i am using is uBlock Origin… it seems to be blocking an analytics script ​

Thank you OttoKerner. I use DuckDuckGo to block intrusive tracking. I’ve whitelisted Plex in DuckDuckGo and no longer get ‘Unexpected Error - See Forums if this continues’ when I change tracks during music playback…

Hi There, i’m seeing same issue on my Samsung TV. I’m able to access my plex fine outside of my network. both on my phone and laptop. Why is it not working on my Samsung TV?
