Look for specific genere in position (x) of the genre tag list when searching media

In an effort to search for movies of a specific genre in order to put them in genre-specific folders, I am opening movie thumbnails to look at the genre tag list. I want to be able to search according to the following examples or variants of the examples:

Example: genre: Horror, in genre tag position 1
or
Example: genre: Science Fiction, in last genre tag position

This has been requested before (Advice on separating all movies where first listed Genre is "Horror") and I believe it is a viable feature.

Currently, there is no way to do this other than editing the thumbnail and looking at the tag list. Not good for large collections.

I suppose the main challenge for this suggestion is going to be that Plex doesn’t have a concept for tag sequences (here: genre). Tag fields are a set of unordered tags. There’s no further distinction based on which is listed first, second, third an so on.

With that in mind… have you considered simply filtering your library by Genre=Horror AND Genre=<secondary genre> using an advanced filter (possibly creating a smart collection/playlist from that filter)? If you want the extra granularity you could expand that by filtering for more genres.
