Looking for a tablet (Android?) to watch videos with Plex.

Hi,

I have Plex running on my NAS Asustor AS5002T and I am pretty happy with it.
I am currently using Plex on my iPad2 that I purchased in March 2011. It working fine but sometimes the Wifi of the tablet is not enough fast and I am thinking to purchase a new tablet that support Wifi AC.
I thought about a iPad Air 2 with 32 GB, but I was wondering if there was a good (or better) solution on the Android side.
By searching online, I found that the Galaxy Tab S2 9.7" could be a good solution or perhaps the Kindle fire HD 10", but I would like to have some feedback.

Thanks

Are you sure it’s the wifi speed and not transcoding? Are you watching high bitrate material?

I ask this because I have a iPad Air 2, which is ac, but all my network is 802.11n (like the iPad2) and it works well. But my movies are about 4 mbps max

@zpaolo11x I can’t reply honestly. I just noticed that the 2 cores on the NAS are far from being use at 100% and that the video stop sometimes when I am watching files (like 1:30 movies) bigger than 4 GB.

If it does it for large files only it can actually be a problem of network speed. You can check if the server is transcoding from the “info” page of the web interface, just to be sure.
