I had Plex running on a customer’s iMac and am trying to move it to a dedicated Mac Mini. When I open the app and log in on the Mini it cannot find the server. But I opened a new account under my name and it finds the server just fine. Can anybody please let me know what I’m doing wrong?
That means the server is signed into your account. You need to sign out while using your account. Then claim it after signing in with the new account.
I want to make sure I’m clear, I only started an account in my name as a test when I wasn’t able find the server (I hope I’m using the correct vernacular) using my customer’s account. As far as I can tell I’ve always signed out of my account before signing back in to his account.
