Losing Posters on custom TV show setup

I have a Sports collection that is type TV Shows i have custom names , see my screenshot. Each video for Michael Jordan i’ve names S01E01 or S02E01 or S03E01 etc.. then I added a customer poster to each one and it worked great!! but then after some amount of time like weeks the posters suddenly disappear completely , even if I try to go back and set the poster again for each one the poster is gone. Luckily i know have all posters saved but i should not have to manually replace posters every few weeks. What is going on here ? is this a bug ? i’m running almost the latest version of plex on windows i think i’m like one version behind the latest. Has anyone seen this or know how to stop this from happening ?

Are you “uploading” the posters via the web app?
Don’t do that.
Instead, store them beside your videos – suitably named: https://support.plex.tv/articles/200220717-local-media-assets-tv-shows/

If you are already doing the above, do you let the hard drives spin down their platters, when idle?
