I have noticed that over the last few months custom posters (aka covers) are randomly disappearing and being replaced with a blank poster. Regardless of the player I am using, I get the same movies missing the poster. So this is server side for sure.
Is there a fix for this? it is getting annoying having to scan through my library and fix missing poster that were there before and working. posters are stored in the movie folder as poster.jpg
And no i do not want to just use refresh metadata, as that takes forever and is also only a bandaid. There needs to be some kind of fix for this.
Not trying to necro a thread or anything but this is the most recent one I found while googling.
I am having exactly the same issue, randomly some custom posters have just stopped working, you can’t re-select them in the poster settings or re-upload them. Selecting default posters is fine.
This is random, some posters are working fine others do not.
All posters vanish… not just on the local machine, it is the same on my Smart TV and other devices as well. Emtpied trash, rescanned etc etc and nothing. Is the path data in the Plex database corrupt maybe? and if so how do you fix something like that.
