Lost access to my Plex Media Server

I seem to have lost access to my PMS…

A few nights ago I was happy watching Plex on the Samsung app on my TV. I wanted to add something to Plex, so I put new content in relevant folder and then access Plex via Browser on my desktop just to confirm it has picked up the new content. But none of my content was present, just the “Plex Movie and shows”.
I immediately jumped onto my physical Plex server (running Windows server 2016) and the outlook was the same, no content. When I accessed the settings to try and see what was going on, it became apparently that even though I was accessing locally, Plex could not see my PMS even though it was running and I was, as I say, accessing locally on the same box.

I’m waffling so I’ll try and get to the fact, as I’ve done a lot of searching of forums and attempting things. I even fully uninstalled Plex and reinstalled and I still cannot get it working.

I believe the two key pieces of information in this problem are:
for some reason, the value in my registry for “PlexOnlineToken” was blank.

no in trying to fix this issue I have uninstalled Plex and cleared out registry values, no currently I dont even have an entry for “PlexOnlineToken”

The second key bit of info is, I’m seeing these errors in the “plex media server.log”

https://plex.tv/devices/################################/unclaimed?Connection[][uri]=http://192.168.1.10:32400 (60, SSL peer certificate or SSH remote key was not OK) (SSL: no alternative certificate subject name matches target host name ‘plex.tv’)

(hashes replacing a value I wasn’t sure I should share)

HTTP error requesting POST https://plex.tv/api/v2/pins?strong=true (60, SSL peer certificate or SSH remote key was not OK) (SSL: no alternative certificate subject name matches target host name ‘plex.tv’)

So it looks like I’ve got some sort of certificate issue. From reading many forum posts I feel like I might need some assistance from an actual Plex staff member at this point, I’ve seen them get involved several times for issues like this in the forums.

FYI, I have tried to reclaim the server, but getting a claim token from https://plex,tv/claim, and using the command:
curl -X POST ‘http://127.0.0.1:32400/myplex/claim?token=PASTE_TOKEN_HERE

but it just hung for over an hours which I imagine is a lot longer than it should take

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I feel like I’m missing a limb without my Plex server

UPDATE:
apologies, I probably should have detailed the current state. I currently have a totally fresh Plex install, but it will not complete setup. The install completes, but then when I open Plex it just says “Getting ready…” in the browser title bar, and this just refreshes and cycles forever.

If I go to http://127.0.0.1:32400/web/index I do get presented with a screen with all my users on it, but when I click on my user (the admin user) I get a message that says:

but to reiterate, when I choose “Open Plex…” I get stuck in the “Getting Ready…” loop again…

Thanks for the suggestion, but I’ve tried that one already

Verify that your server machine has correct date and time.
Remove any internet filters you might have in place.
Remove any VPNs from the picture as well.

All also done already
(sorry , I have tried a lot of things, these are all good suggestions)

Further update, that suggests this must be a problem with my Plex account somehow:

I tried installing Plex Media server on my Windows 10 desktop (completely different computer) but it experienced the same issue… Installation completes, I sign in, and nothing, no initial setup.

So I uninstalled again, and then tried again, but this time instead of signing in with my existing plex account (which I have lifetime plex pass on) I created a new plex account under a different email address, and that installation works fine. Installation completes and then goes into the first time setup wizard.

How do I get my Plex account looked at to see what the problem is?

Ok, I emailed billing support to get my account checked an they report that my account appears fine, and that I have a valid security certificate. and advised trying again, and if I encounter problems to share my plex media server.log.

So I’m about to attempt that now, Plex is currently not installed, nothing in the registry, and I have taken a backup of the plex data folder and deleted the original. This could be a clean install.

I will see how it goes. Not sure anyone will see this and respond in time, but my question would be, should I just attempt to create a brand new PMS (in which case there should be nothing to claim), or once installation completes, should I restore my plex data folder to try and get back my original Plex Media Server? (which I would really love to do as it had lots of custom collections, tags and artwork…)
