I can't see my content, nor retrieve

Good evening,

I can’t see my content, nor retrieve it because I don’t have the option to manage my library… it just doesn’t appear in the menu, nor in settings.

If anyone knows what is going on, I would appreciate a comment.

Thanks
Pepe

I just create the occasional library to add some content.
I only use the clients offered for a couple of TVs, where I view the content I add with PLEX MEDIA SERVER.
The last time I added content was a month ago. Yesterday when I logged into PLEX on the TV I found the following message:

I immediately connected by PC to the PMS, and I found the same situation. I tried to manage my libraries but I can’t, because that option does not appear.

Yes, I recognize that I am not very skilled in the matter of managing the application… but until now everything has been extremely simple (for dummies).
And now I don’t know what to do. The only solution I can think of (for fools) is to perform a clean installation, which I have not yet done.

Sorry, I forgot to comment…
When I enter the application I enter with my account and with the user that I created at the time, it asks me for the password of 4 characters and accepts it.

I continue

and then the already mentioned, neither content nor possibility to access to the library management.

Thanks again and sorry for my lack of knowledge.

Good morning,

Thank you for your reply @OttoKerner.

I have done the process, but yesterday I deleted PLEX MEDIA SERVER and reinstalled it clean.

After performing the registry update process, I have started the PLEX MEDIA SERVER which I reinstalled in clean.

For now, this is the result.

It stays like this for hours.

Thank you very much, best regards.

See New Claiming Requirement for Windows
particularly the paragraph “What if the “Open Plex” button doesn’t claim the server or I can’t get to the UI to click it?”

Good afternoon,

Thanks again for the reply @OttoKerner .
I have read the contents of the link… but the only new thing is the way to access PLEX MEDIA SERVER, I can access through the link in the taskbar. However, I have tried this access mode as well… the result is the same.
Then, I have checked the rest of the links but I don’t see any use for them… and even less if I have to enter the registry to modify keys. Curiously, I have seen processes for Mac and Linux… but not for Windows.
I have tried to enter through PLEX WEB… and it no longer asks for the 4 characters user password.

Thanks and best regards
Pepe

Which one?
Have you tried the method with the HTML file?

Are you running on a Windows Server edition?

Yes, the one that proposes in case of problems or lack of link in the taskbar… Setup Plex in html%LOCALAPPDATA%\Plex Media Server.

The windows version is 11 PRO.

But if I go back to the beginning of the problem… I have no idea why this happens suddenly, without having done anything.

Well, now I’ve done things. Clean installation and registry modification with the proposed .reg file.

See if this is of any use: Plex install fix for Windows Server (Claim issue)

Do also make sure that your web browser doesn’t have any extension activated.

Good afternoon,

I have been observing certain anomalies in the network configuration and malfunctioning of browsers and mail.

In the end I have opted for a clean installation of windows 11.

Now it is going great. I have even recovered my configuration with the NAS… that I gave for lost a few months ago. And I only had to go into PLEX WEB… everything reorganized itself beautifully.

Thank you very much for your attention and your time @OttoKerner , you don’t know how much I appreciate it.

Best regards and thank you very much.
