Lost all reference to Music libraries on Plex Home page

Plex worked with desktop server and Chrome browser window and Iphone. Tried to set up a second IPad device.to play music library. Used the website and duplicated my Plex page on it instead of downloading the app. Now nothing works. Lost all reference to my two music libraries. Plex Web page doesn’t recognize the installed Plex Media server to list the libraries. Reinstalled the media server and clicked to load it, still no show of libraries. My desktop home server page shows the Plex movies, music, etc, but can not find libraries. Home page shows nothing under lablel “Your media” but refers to download server. How do I fix it to show music libraries? Do I have to completely start over with Plex?

Do you experience the same if you access your server using its local IP address (http://[PMS IP address]:32400/web)? From what you describe you might have unclaimed your server… this can e.g. happen if you change your password and opt to sign-out all devices.

Thanks. Please help with this. What is the local IP address (PMS IP address)? I know where to find local IPv4 IPv6 and DNS. What is the data to insert into the address? I did set up a second Plex web page on an IPad (using Chrome browser on it). I was able to play library music. I signed out. I do not recall signing out of the desktop webpage (using google browser on it). However, I get Plex data for standard lists on both. But neither gives me any reference to my two libraries. I do have the Plex server 64 downloaded on the desktop, and when I start my computer, it is not loaded (can see via taskmaster), but I can load it by clicking on the Plex symbol in software list, and it then loads. Formerly, then my libraries loaded. Not now.

on the Windows machine hosting your PMS, try opening http://127.0.0.1:32400/web in your browser. If you’re on a different machine, use the server’s local IPv4 address instead.

Wow, that opened my libraries and playlists. I saw the note to “claim the server” to my account. and did. I closed the website and reopened it, and the libraries were showing and all loaded and played! So, you correctly diagnosed the problem. Can you suggest what I did to cause it, and to avoid? I will not open the account on my IPad henceforth… Will download app to use IPad as receiving device. Thank you. You recovered my New Year’s Day for a great 2023 beginning.

I can only guess…
