Had no problems playing watch together last night. Looks like PMS updated. Now I’m getting kicked out of Watch Together sessions every few minutes. Rebooted server and client I’m watching from. Tried app.plex.tv as well as the Plex Windows app (also updated when I started today). The other person watching the stream isn’t having the issue. I’m on the same network as the PMS; remote watcher is a state away.
We’ve tested other videos that we watched successfully before; they’re having the same issue.
If I leave the error window up, I can continue to watch it in the background, but it’s annoying that this is happening nearly constantly.
Please let me know what additional information I can provide to help get the issue resolved.
Man if they could get this function working and with a live chat window, they would have what everyone has been searching all these years for. Instead, unfortunately, Plex keeps expanding in a direction nobody signed up for. I have my own content, I don’t need their content.
Exactly. I have a plex SERVER for a reason. If I wanted their content, I wouldn’t need a server, I would just subscribe to a streaming service again. They need to worry less about trying to show adverts and show their own content. Focus on making it work more reliably, and adding in features to allow us to add functionality. Bring back plugin support and let us use our own IPTV service for the Live TV functionality.
