Did you already saw this behavior in Plex : When i’m adding a new movie and launch a scan, Plex find dozen of new films (which are old so it resets the read status…).
I have this since i updated to 1.23.3.4707 yesterday. Same behavior with the 1.23.4.4775

This is the log file. I can also see that lot of movies are missing.

I thought the log where good, my bad. Verbose is now disabled.
This section is just for kids so we don’t care. The one and only issue is on
/volume1/Maxnas/Films/Films, the naming is “■■■■” i agree but it never happens since i got Plex Pass, 6 years ago.
Yes the Xpenology which host Plex has the latest version available if i’m correct.
Permission issue is not possible also, i use the local admin account to map the folder from another synology. Just in case, i have reapplied the rights on all the content of the folder.
I also tried to downgrade but since i installed the Plex Pass version, i’m not allowed to 
I have added 1 movie, before it was that : (ordered by added date)
And after : (new movie is in yellow)

Another example : The 2nd movie for ex is not in Plex
In the log i have added, when i parse them, there is no mention of this movie.
it doesn’t hurt to rename but … don’t see a real reason to do that

Sorry for the delay of response. I have update Plex to the latest version released few days ago, same issue.
I didn’t renamed any video for info.
So I have removed Plex and install the version " 1.22.1.4228", and the issue is gone… Plex now detects 100% of the video presents in the Film/Films folder (instead of about 97%). I just
added a movie and just this movie has been seen whereas the newest version, detects douzen for me …
