LPE: unknown item and Sync: failed to generate query for path

Server Version#: 1.23.5.4841
Player Version#: 1.33.0.2444-a220eae4

I’m seeing loads of sync errors in my PMS logs. I have checked my “authorised devices” and none of the devices have any sync’d content (anymore?), so potentially an old device had sync’d content.

How do I clear these errors up? All the housekeeping boxes are ticked.

Any ideas/thoughts?

  1. Clean up the dead sync jobs.
  2. Empty Trash, Optimize DB, and Clean Bundles

The errors are because PMS thinks there are either

a. files synced which no longer exist
-or-
b. Sync’d to devices which are no longer part of your devices list.

Is there a guide to achieve this?

Just as I went to get the info. I forgot. “Downloads” has superseded the Sync functionality.

Do you have any “Devices” (Settings - Authorized Devices) which had media sync’d to them but either a) Now don’t have the device or b) have reinstalled the app ? (erases what’s been downloaded)

Either of those conditions are the primary cause

Secondary is syncing media you no longer have. Scanning all the files in all sectons, Empty Trash, Clean Bundles will do the rest of the cleanup as best possible.

Sorry for the delay in coming back to this. The issue remains.

Your first suggestion is the most likely here. I almost certainly have synced content to devices in the past, but they have probably been wiped/sold. Under authorised devices, I can’t see anything currently that indicates content is synced to the devices.

How do I deal with this?
