Is anybody having this problem with lyricfind where sometimes it finds lyrics (most often the wrong ones) or it finds nothing even though we are talking about popular songs whose lyrics can be found at numerous other sites. As a rough estimate the information is incorrect or missing 80% of the time. I am running Version 1.0.0.2261 with Plex Premium Music on Windows 7 with different clients. Some Windows 7 & 10, iPad’s, iPhones all kinds of laptops and they all have the same problem. Some use my internal network only others are using the internet to gain access but all have the same problem regardless of the network(s) being used.
I haven’t noticed that problem, but there may be some factors contributing to what you’re experiencing.
Plex gets lyrics from LyricFind, so the appearance of lyrics on numerous other sites doesn’t mean much.
I’ve also found that LyricFind is organized by albums. What I mean is this: Let’s say a particular song appears on its original album, and also on a compilation album, like a ‘greatest hits’ album, or a ‘hits of the 80’s’ collection. LyricFind may have the lyrics for the song, but it may only be in their database for the original album. So if you have a compilation album with the song, but LyricFind only has it under the original album, you won’t get the lyrics.
It’s possible that the Plex server logs may list errors if it’s having trouble communicating with LyricFind, so that’s something to look at as well.
