There is no guarantee that the partner Plex is using to deliver properly licensed lyrics has lyrics available for all tracks.
The fact that lyrics are available on some random site on the Internet does not mean that Plex can and will fetch it. Only very few ‘lyrics websites’ have these lyrics properly licensed. And those which do, don’t allow other commercial services like Plex to simply “scrape” them off.
If the lyrics to this song are particularly important to you, you can always add them in .lrc or .txt format beside the audio file. Plex should show them after a “refresh metadata” of the album.
Thank you for the information, but LyricFind is the partner for Plex, and the “random site” link I gave is from LyricFind themselves. Is Plex not able to match the song to LyricFind?
Important to know is that lyric find is using the album/release to match the lyrics. So you may not get a match if you have a different release of the song on your server (album vs. single vs. compilation etc.)
I realise Plexamp is also not able to get subtitles for some songs (but Plex Web works for the same songs).
I am using the same song/album/release because there is only 1. Seems like this is a bug and the matching could be improved. Do help to let the dev team know, thank you!
