M4v playback issues suddenly

  Not sure if this will be the correct place for this, so I apologize in advance. New

here. Suddenly Plex will no longer play my m4v files only on the main computer. Periphery
devices have no issue with playback. If I try to play one, it crashes the browser and I have
to reload and reenter pin. Occasionally it crashes a few times before it lets me back in.
I’m running Windows 10, Google Chrome for the browser. Any advice would be
immensely appreciated!

There are numerous reports of trouble with Chrome v98, the latest update, and with Microsoft Edge. The thread below is one such report.

From reading the threads, some have had better luck with FireFox (others have reported it crashing as well).

You might also try the Plex for Windows desktop app. It is a more capable Plex client than Plex Web, direct playing more media.

Installing the app seems to have resolved the issue. That particular link did not work for me, but eventually one did, so thanks for putting me on that path!
