Mac crashed & Plex won't work since

Server Version#:1.22.0.4163-d8c4875dd
Player Version#: 4.53.0

My Plex Media Server won’t operate. Yesterday my Mac crashed and when I rebooted the Plex Server simple refuses to open.

I’m afraid I’m not a whizzkid re this kind of thing but I have made sure all parts are up to date and the latest versions are running where they are supposed to. The error message is simply, the Server is Unreachable. Please can anyone help or point me in the right direction. I’ve been happily using Plex for 6 years and would be reluctant to switch to a new system. Many thanks.

i believe you have a corrupt database, follow these instructions.

I did that, after the second command. Petes-HD:Databases Pete$ sqlite3 com.plexapp.plugins.library.db “DROP index ‘index_title_sort_naturalsort’”

I got this message.

Error: database disk image is malformed

Is it better to delete Plex & reinstall, switch to a new account? I’m not confident with running Terminal messages & trying to delete a database via this method may do more harm than good!

Thanks.

I did try the method you advised and alas nothing has worked. I have tried deleting Plex & reinstalling it but also to no avail. Has anyone any other suggestions please. Feeling very lost without my Plex!

Can you expand on your method of uninstalling?
